The list isn't exhaustive, since I've intentionally left out sites I think might give spoilers, but my hope is that there's enough here to let you figure out if the story is right for you (or give you something extra to read afterwards). However, I ask that you try not to infer too many specifics based on what you find on these sites. I write fiction, not fact, and will completely ignore reality if I think it'll make the story better.

Discusses theories regarding how few humans are necessary to prevent genetic defects due to inbreeding.
I have a lot of links regarding composting (since I've never done it myself, I need a lot of separate information sources), but I thought this one was the best jumping off point. It includes a link to The Humanure Handbook.
These videos on YouTube are about composting by Joseph Jenkins, the author of The Humanure Handbook, and have given me a great visual for some revisions I intend to incorporate into the story.
