Stories

I've written one story, an "alternative" genre Xena fan fiction. This was the result of reading Xena fan fic and the goading of a friend, who kept saying we should write a story of our own. I'd read a lot of erotic short stories in the past, and I'd always wanted to try my hand at it, thinking, "Hell, I can do better than that."

In fact, many years ago, I had actually written an erotic short story, but I'd never done anything with it. So, I thought, "What the hell? I can do this." I'd written that story and plenty of erotic poems. How much harder could writing another story be?

I soon found out just how hard it was to write a story. I had the idea and two of my own poems to start with, but to be totally honest, writing that story was the hardest thing I have ever done.

From the time I started writing to the day it was posted took nine months. Nine months, and yes, for me it was as hard as giving birth. It was definitely labor; write and rewrite. I can't even begin to tell you how many draft copies I had of it. But I am really pleased with how it finally turned out.

It was originally posted on The Athenaeum on Valentine's Day 2000, and on Lynka's Xena Page a few months later.

However, the version posted here is currently only available on this site. It includes revisions suggested by my personal editor, Kodi Wolf.

Wet Skin

As I mentioned earlier, the story is based in the Xenaverse and follows Gabrielle as she takes a mental trip along Xena's skin. It was inspired by the poem of the same name, along with another one of mine called Submission, though that one never made it into the story the way Wet Skin did.
