So, I'm finally starting to update again. The last several years have just been a bit hectic, but I've been writing the whole time, I just haven't taken the time to create Web pages and update my site. But since I've finally gotten a new laptop and transferred my poem files and have repurchased WS_FTP Home, I thought I'd better get to work on updating the site before it became too overwhelming.

This first batch of poems is mostly from 2005. I start off with a poem called Back In Black, which was written for my younger brother who used to be a serious AC/DC fan. The next one is The Love Of A Master and of course it's for Kodi. After that is one called Forgiveness. The next two were written for Kodi as well, they are Wedding Music and Kissing Her. It is followed by a poem I wrote for my brothers, and it's called Anger And Betrayal. The next few poems are for my mother and are about her stay in the hospital. The first one is Those Grey Eyes and the second one is Roads Of My Life. The next one, After All These Years, was written for a close friend of mine from high school. And last, but certainly not least, is another to my mother called Why Don't You Love Me?.

Also, in gathering all the poems together for this posting, I found another love poem I wrote for Kodi, one that I'd never shown her before. It now holds the title of being the very first one I ever wrote for her, instead of Thoughts of You, which has held that position here for years. The new poem is called Wish You Were Here. I love this poem and I'm glad I finally found it and have posted it here where it belongs with the rest of her poems.

And Kodi and I have made a few minor changes to the site layout as well. You may have noticed at the top of each page there aren't as many year buttons as there used to be. All the years have now been combined into new decades buttons. The poems are divided into sections based on the decade in which they were written. Each section lists the poems from that time in chronological order. This should dramatically cut down on the number of buttons needed in the future. And I think it makes the site look more streamlined.

I have three more updates planned for the next few weeks or so. The next post will be all the poems written in 2006, then the ones written in 2007, and lastly all the poems I've written so far this year.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. And there's much more to come, soon hopefully.
