Hello. I'm Roarin' Fire and this is my poetry site.
Some people might consider my poems to be of an "alternative" nature due to their lesbian subject matter, but for me, they're simply about my life. They chronicle nearly thirty years of my journey so far:
breaking off the engagement with my male fiancé
my first lesbian relationship
the commitment ceremony (which I refer to as my wedding or my marriage throughout the site)
the affair
the threesome
the end of my marriage
falling head over heels in love with Kodi Wolf (who I think is an extremely talented bard both in and out of the Xena-verse)
formally divorcing my ex
planning my handfasting to Kodi
the handfasting ceremony
and beyond.
The poems are divided into sections based on the decade in which they were written. Each section lists the poems from that time in chronological order. At the end of each poem, you'll find my Author's Notes, which I've written to give some idea of what inspired the poem, or where my head was at, at the time. I've also included a few of my own photographs throughout the site.
